Early reviews are in.  A new star is born on the Oregon Coast!

Whale Cove Inn sets a new standard of opulence and exclusivity for Oregon Coast lodging.

FROMMER'S OREGON  "Quite simply, there is nothing else like this boutique inn anywhere on the Oregon coast.  The Whale Cove Inn is the most sophisticated and contemporary small inn on the coast.  Huge rooms with king-size Tempur-Pedic beds, gas fireplaces and outdoor Jacuzzis on private decks are exquisitely sumptuous and romantic.  That the inn also has what just might be the most jaw-dropping view on the coast seems only befitting of such luxury.  ...you will experience the best that Oregon's shore has to offer."

"Nearly Perfect for Lovers of the Ocean and Luxury!"

Davis, Ca - April 2010

Every bit as appealing as the photos on-line -- both in the suite of rooms and the view/location. Like your own tasteful, sophisticated urban apartment overlooking the sea. Place is very well designed for quiet (never heard the road or my neighbors). Staff was very helpful and restaurant was terrific. Worth the splurge.

Go for a third floor room so your jacuzzi tub is truly private, but make sure it's working (mine didn't for 3 nights despite owner's attempts to repair). It was a nice soak listening to the waves though.

"Luxuriously Delightful!"

Central Oregon - April 2010

We received a night's stay at Whale Cove as a gift and what a treat!!! Roomy, great bathroom, a huge shower with side and overhead shower heads, comfy bed, a jetted tub on the deck overlooking the cove that we used twice and of course, a terrific view of the cove and ocean. The breakfast was very nice served by a charming lady who was anxious to please. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Everything was spic and span. We didn't hear traffic but the ocean roar was great!!! We would like to visit again.

Very Very Relaxing!
Love the room. We'll be back again.

P.S. The view is amazing! especially, lying in bed and the sun shines in awaking you to the sound of the crashing waves.

"The Nicest Hotel on the Oregon Coast!"

Eugene, OR - Jan 2010

I'm a lifelong Oregonian, and remember passing by the 'old' Whale Cove Inn many times. That was a nice, but pretty standard motel, with a great view. The new WCI is amazing! My wife and I received a 1 night stay as a wedding gift - one of the best gifts we received.

The rooms are equal to any hotel I've experienced, and the staff was very accommodating. We walked into a gorgeous room, with the sound of the surf crashing below, the music soft and mellow, and the fireplace glowing. To top that, a soak in the jacuzzi tub on the private balcony was the perfect way to wind down a long day of whale watching and sight seeing on the coast.

"The Best Stay-cation option EVER!!!"

Coeur D'Alene, ID - Dec 2009

First, my wife and I were disappointed that again this year we had to cancel our plans for a vacation. Then we discussed the option of staying in the NW (We're from Idaho) and we decided to find the best place on the Oregon / Washington Coast to slow down, "drop out," and breathe.
We found it...the Whale Cove Inn in Depoe Bay.
The location overlooks Whale Cove, right on the water, about 2 miles south of the bridge in Depoe Bay. Not only were we blown away with the oceanfront views but we were happy to find ourselves conveniently half way between Lincoln City to the north and Newport to the south. The Whale Cove Inn has views to die for, decor of a 5 Star hotel, and the intimacy of a european Inn. Downstairs, at Restaurant Beck, the food is prepared with a level of care and perfection that would rival any dining offered in the NW Region.
Whale Cove Inn offers unparalleled ocean views, private hot tubs, world class decor, and a value that is spot on for getting away without paying too much. Without question, Whale Cove Inn is the finest boutique Inn in the Pacific Northwest. We highly recommend anyone considering a mini-vacation on the Oregon Coast to book their stay at Whale Cove Inn. Those who do, will not be disappointed!

"Spectacular Pacific Coastline View"

Algonquin, IL - Oct 2009

I can honestly say that is is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Located right on Pacific Coast Highway 101, the modern, upscale room was awesome! It had a spectacular view from our balcony's hot tub and the bedding was so luxurious and comfortable that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. The staff and general manager went way out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during our 4 day stay. After a wonderful breakfast downstairs, we would set out for a new adventure. Traveling east to wine country, (love the Pinot Noir) or south to the Devil's Punch Bowl and Sea Lions caves. We will never forget the beautiful sunsets and will definitely return to a place that has our hearts!

"Awed"

Utah - Sept 2009

Ok, I'm not one to dish out perfect reviews about ANYTHING. BUT I would have to say this is close to THE BEST if not THE BEST hotel I have ever stayed at in my 30 yrs of travel. The rooms are exquisite the views are fabulous the bed was wonderful, the staff is there but not there in your face. I would rate this hotel 5 across the board. I will say we got lucky that the weather was perfect for this area of Oregon but I can't imagine a more beautiful place to sit and view a rainy day or a raging storm than the Whale Cove Inn.

"Exquisite- One of the Best Boutique Hotels on the west coast!"

Oregon Coast - July 2009

We celebrated our Anniversary at the Whale Cove Inn. This was our second visit here and we were not disappointed. We have stayed in some very luxurious hotels around the worlds and this is one of the very finest. The owners of this elegant hotel got everything right. This hotel is spectacularly located on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The view is unobstructed and on the lanai is a jacuzzi tub complete with bath salts.

The room is beautifully appointed and drips with understated elegance. The muted colors, luxurious bedding, fireplace, 2 flat screen TVs, heated floors, and a bathroom that offers a large shower with a skylight, and rainshower feature. I am not a shower person, but I became one here - I shamelessly took three showers in one day...ah

This is a hotel only has only seven rooms - and they are all suites. Staying here is pure heaven. Quiet, peaceful and you can actually watch the whales from your room. We were lucky enough to see a mama whale and her calf swimming in the cove for a good three hours.

I cannot say enough to fully describe how serene and comfortable this place is. If you want to celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself to a sumptuous stay, The Whale Cove Inn is the place to be.

"Perfect Romantic Getaway!"

Hillsboro, OR - March 2009

My wife and I stayed at the Whale Cove in between winter storms and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! Between the amazing staff and comforts of the room, we had one of the best romantic getaways we've ever experienced! Enjoying time by the fireplace, sleeping in the most comfortable bed, listening to the waves of the ocean crashing just outside our room and spending an evening in the Jucuzzi tub sipping champagne, it was all too perfect! Thanks Whale Cove Inn, we hope to see you soon.....

"This is an Extraordinary Inn with an Outstanding Oceanview!"

Oregon - March 2009

"Wow! " That says it all. And, that's what you will say when you enter the Whale Cove Inn and are swept away with its spectacular views. It's new, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities you would want. The suites are extradordinarily spacious with living rooms, fireplaces, double-headed showers, & outdoor soaking tubs that provide "relaxation" as you look for the whales is the "whale cove" backed by the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This is a high-end property that caters to guests who appreciate luxury and excellent service.

My husband and I just spent two wonderful nights here. We just can't get over the views! Thank you for an amazing experience that we surely will return to.

The Wagners - Oct 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the perfect getaway from the kids. My husband and I, married 8 years with two amazing little girls just needed time for us. It will be hard to leave this spectacular hotel.
If we ever renew our wedding vows, the circular patio overlooking the ocean is the place to do it.
This has been the perfect night away. If you don't have to leave the hotel, don't. Take in every moment of the breath taking view, sit back and enjoy.

P.S. nothing beats a warm cup of coffee and the crisp ocean air!

Beaverton, OR - Sept 2008

We came all the way from London, UK, for the holiday in the U.S. This is the best & most memorable place we've stayed.
The view is outstanding & the room is comfortable & relaxing.
We appreciate the architechure and the interior design, which blends well with the natural beauty here.
It all makes us appreciate life and the good things in life more.

The Carters - July 2008

We dated 28 years ago, reunited last year and got married today. What a great place to spend our honeymoon. We love the room, the view and the jacuzzi tub on the balcony! (We soaked for hours sipping on Champagne-talking and teasing.) It's all about creating memories. =)
What a wonderful room! This was perfect and we are leaving with beautiful memories! God has blessed us and the beauty of nature surrounding us has been so peaceful. The waves crashing, the birds chirping, the seals playing, the sun, the fog, the caves and the waterfall will never be forgotten. until next time....

The Rhodes - July 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We celebrated our five year Anniversary here, our first time staying here, we LOVED it! and throughout our stay said "we've found our new place!" We can't wait to come back again, it is quiet, peaceful, & relaxing with beautiful views. We will not forget the warm staff, excellent food & fantastic decor that made this Anniversary so special.
Thank you!
