Accommodations in Depoe Bay, OR
Our seven Signature Suites afford an unparalleled panorama of Whale Cove, one of the most scenic bays on the entire Oregon/Washington coastline. A typical Signature Suite is pictured above and reflects the luxurious furnishings that the Whale Cove Inn offers in all of its suites. In addition to offering magnificent ocean and bay views, all suites feature a complimentary fresh baked breakfast, high definition LCD televisions in both rooms, in-room DVDs, complimentary Internet, Paloma gas fireplaces, king-sized TempurPedic sleep systems, and private balconies with Jacuzzi tubs with an unobstructed view of the ocean and bay. The showers are oversized with rain showerheads and Grohe Aquatowers for the ultimate shower experience.
Outside, the view makes a beautiful, constantly changing backdrop. One moment the ocean is calm as you watch orca whales and bald eagles patrol the serene expanse of Whale Cove at your doorstep. The next moment, an awesome Pacific storm pounds the rocks guarding the mouth of the cove, and the spray flies and the very earth shudders. That’s what our eight exquisite suites offer: a luxurious front-row seat to one of the most spectacular locations on the rugged Oregon Coast.
It’s a vantage point filled with advantages: outdoor Jacuzzis on your own private deck. Body-pampering linens. King-sized TempurPedic beds with soft down comforters. Artisan-tiled showers with European water features. The instant warmth of in-room gas fireplaces. High definition flat screen televisions in the living area and bedrooms. Each room at Whale Cove Inn is delightfully spacious and thoughtfully designed to be an oasis of tranquility you may never want to leave. You have to experience this unique Depoe Bay lodging in person to fully appreciate its amenities, and especially the views.
Please Note: Due to the romantic nature of Whale Cove Inn we will happily accommodate guests who are 16 years or older, thank you for your understanding.

We've stayed at Whale Cove many times over the past few years, and will continue to return in the future. The hotel is a quiet retreat for you and your significant other to enjoy each others company, while being energized by the incredible views and a relaxed hotel experience. The whole intent is for relaxation. This is not a resort with tennis or golf, nor is there a bar, lounge, or room service. Those things are near by, but the hotel does not have their own. It's more like a B&B. If those things are important for your visit, the Whale Cove Inn staff can point you in the right direction, they even have a book of local restaurant menus if Restaurant Beck isn't to your taste at the time. The breakfasts are wonderful. There is a large breakfast spread in the Restaurant Beck space off of the lobby. Plan to have breakfast in the dining area as the hotel does not have the staff or ability to deliver food to the rooms, nor retrieve the service items afterwards. Want to bring your own wine and snacks with you? The rooms have wine glasses, bottle openers and even wine chillers. A Keurig coffee maker is in the room so you can get a jolt in the mornings before going to breakfast. The shower 'room' is just that, an 8'x8' rainfall room with plenty of room for two. Remember, this is all about you and your partner. Or just to pamper yourself. Whale Cove offers a low-key, quiet luxury experience focusing on relaxation and romantic interludes. There are certainly lots of resorts on the Oregon coast that have other bells and whistles that appeal to specific kinds of experiences and interests. There are lower cost alternatives as well, and those that will appeal to families with kids. We have found Whale Cove to be worth the premium price simply in its ability to let you decompress and reconnect in a quiet and scenic place.
The hotel is outstanding and the service is top notch! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We will certainly be back!
This hotel was one of the BEST we have ever stayed at! The photos on the website don't do it justice - it's luxury and relaxation unsurpassed. Rooms are total comfort, from the temper petic mattresses, fantastic bathroom, to jacuzzi tub on patio - great!! Service was amazing. Sarah, the hotel manager escorted us to our room, which was already set w/ lighting and soft music! Sarah has a great personality that made the stay extra special! Truly over the top, memorable experience! We'll be back!!
Excellent hotel! The best views ever overlooking the Whale Cove - we even saw a gray whale!! Hotel is sexy and sleek. Upscale modern - every detail is directed to relaxation and tranquility. Breakfast in hotel is good - we had salmon frittata. Dinner was truly gourmet in the restaurant. Rooms were inspiring - bathroom shower was awesome! Can't wait to go back - highly recommend!! Very memorable experience!
This is an ultramodern bed and breakfast with 8 very large rooms. Our room was more like a high-end condo than a B&B. The owners of this facility (Carl and Vicki Finseth) spared no expense when they built and furnished it. For us, it was a real WOW! One of the nicest places we have stayed around the world. As nice as the rooms and the location were, the staff were even better. We can't say enough about the general manager, Sarah Jincks, and the person who prepared our breakfasts, Cynthia. We were just driving up the coast and stopped on a whim, and it was Sarah who convinced us to stay the first night and our decision to stay the second. I hope the Finseth's recognize everything Sarah does for them. We are already planning a return trip.
I've been meaning to get around to this for a while, and finally remembered to get this on here! I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about The Whale Cove Inn! My boyfriend and I splurged for Valentine's Day Weekend this year (Feb 2015) when he came home from Afghanistan, and we were not disappointed at all. At the last minute, he called and asked them to place rose petals throughout the room, along with balloons and long stem roses, with only a few hours notice before we arrived! It was done beautifully, and they went above and beyond to put a smile on both of our faces! After our first day, we came in after a day out on the town, and found that they had placed a large box of Godiva chocolates on the nightstand, next to a freshly made bed. That was a treat all in it's own! The beds were so comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. The private deck with the jet tub was just what we needed too. The views are incredible, and we really couldn't get enough of this hotel. We decided to treat ourselves to a 7 course meal in Restaurant Beck as well. Although a bit pricey, the food was amazing! If you are ever wanting to be spontaneous and not worry about a budget necessarily, definitely consider going to the restaurant because it's worth it! Each course was paired with a well matched glass of wine, and needless to say, we were having a pretty good time about halfway through the meal! We were very impressed! Beautiful and well worth going to! We will be back in the future!! 5 Stars for The Whale Cove Inn!!!!!
We have stayed at many luxury inns before, but the staff here at The Whale Cove Inn is outstanding, in particularly Sarah, Carole and Cynthia. They were extremely helpful in giving advice and solving little travel issuers that would arise. Cynthia’s breakfasts were simply amazing which included 10 different kinds of fruits, 3 egg dishes, bacon and sausage, fresh croissants, multiple sweet rolls as well as the standard cereals, yogurt and cheeses. She kept our coffee cups filled and was delightful to talk with each morning. We never tired of waves crashing on the rocks.
This inn is truly exceptional, from its idyllic setting, to the luxurious amenities and food that is top notch. Elegant, yet lacking pretense, Whale Cove Inn offers comfortable luxury. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.
We loved the WhaleCove Inn. We will come back to stay for a week. Thanks
My husband Rex and I just spent one of the most memorable weekends of our marriage thanks to Whale Cove Inn. It is one of the best places we have spent in a long time! The service was exceptional. I want to personally recognize the front desk receptionist that took such GOOD care of us the day we checked in (unfortunately I can't remember her name, we checked in on 7/9/15 if that helps). Thank you, Whale Cove Inn, for an exceptional stay!
