Cape Lookout State Park
Enjoy an easy two-mile hike through Cape Lookout State Park. Be led through giant spruces and western red cedars, to viewpoints of Cascade Head and Cape Meares. Discover colorful wildflowers, wildlife, more than 150 species of birds, and picnic areas for an afternoon lunch.
Cape Meares Light
One of the more fun things to do on the Oregon Coast is to visit a lighthouse. Tillamook is home to the Cape Meares Light, located at the Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint. The Cape’s location rests 200 feet above the ocean which provides vista views for miles. The lighthouse only stands 38 feet tall, commanding the designation as the shortest lighthouse in Oregon.
Be sure to visit the Cape Mears National Wildlife Refuge as well, located next door. Spanning 140 acres of forest, visitors will enjoy scenic views, trails, century-old Sitka Spruce, and an abundance of wildlife.
Tillamook Air Museum
A truly unique museum, the Tillamook Air Museum explores and showcases wartime and aviation aircrafts from WW II to present day. The museum is housed in the Hangar B, built back in 1943 to help protect the West Coast during the war.
